He's just a little dude. I had bought some teal minifigure headphones on a whim in one of my Bricklink orders and was messing around with them, trying to find a use. Pretty quick I hit on using them as spider eyes.
I also happened to have picked up a bunch of pterodactyl jaws for fun (thinking they could make a nice fur texture for something large), and those seemed like they could be great spider feet. Add a couple bananas and I had a whole NPU MOC going on. Not usually how I build, but a good way to pass some time.
And yes, he only has 6 legs. What are you gonna do about it? Are you gonna say Visorak aren't spiders? I'll sic Greg Frashety on your pedantic ass.
His colors and size go pretty well with Tops.
